I finally found the time to run Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool 2011 today. McAfee had also been catching a few viruses called "" and deleted files containing them. However, I noticed that my computer was running slower than usual. Recently, it redirected me to another page that installs a something bogus on my computer. I didn't have time, so I ignored it for a while. I scanned again, but came up with nothing. My computer seemed normal, but after a few days I realized I had a redirecting problem with Mozilla. (Malwarebytes, superantispyware, kapersky virus removal tool, and my installed McAfee program.) I caught several Trojans and deleted them. I opened the task manager and immediately killed firefox and went through a frenzy of virus scanners. Upon clicking one image, I was immediately redirected to one of those pages that automatically installs some sort of a fake virus scanner on your computer.

If the story's not necessary, just skip the entire next paragraph and I'll bullet what I've done/found.Ībout a month ago, I used google images to look for picture (of a pokemon of all things). I apologize for the length just trying to provide as much detail as I can. Below is a long and drawn out story of what happened and what I did.

I received advice to temporarily set it as "no proxy" (rather than the usual "use system settings," which also didn't work-it was changed to using manual proxy that I didn't understand) in order to regain use of firefox. And now my computer runs a bit slow and firefox no longer works, displaying " the proxy server is refusing connections." It was working fine earlier today, and I didn't touch a thing regarding those settings. It seems to go through " " but I haven't been redirected as much recently, so I can't be 100% sure it's still going through that site.

I've got some viruses and a redirect problem on my Internet browser (Mozilla v.3.6.18 - I kept it since 4 would not work with my fingerprint scanner). Additionally, I will post all the instructed logs after my log tirade of trying to explain my problem in as much detail as possible I apologize if it bores you. I'm not super great with computers, and I think I've done all I can. Hi! First off, I'd like to thank you guys beforehand for taking a look at my problem. So I'd prefer explanations as simple as possible if you can. I'm not all that experienced with computers.I think. **NOTE: Nearly all viruses/trojans mentioned below were found in the Local\appdata folder.
